Opportunities for all
The Parents' Club offers a wide variety of scholarships and awards each year, from underclassman grants for summer programs to a variety of senior options. See details below and please encourage your student to apply when the time is right.
Underclassman Grants
Is your freshman, sophomore or junior attending a summer program for sports, the arts, academics, etc.? The DGNPC has underclassman grants to support summer camps and enrichment programs. Students may apply for a $200 DGN Parent's Club Underclass Grant to help fund their endeavors.
Applications for underclassman grants will be available in early spring.
3 Scholarships/Awards for
seniors to consider.....
The DGN Parents' Club is proud to offer three types of scholarships/ awards for seniors:
-Senior Scholarships: Awarded annually to approximately 10 seniors, this scholarship is for college-bound seniors and is awarded based on involvement and contribution to the school and the community. Applications are now available in Naviance (have your senior see the list in the Daily Announcements email for more information). Available in February
What's Next Award: This award program is for students defining their own path and/or exploring career options that do not include attending a college or university. If your student wants to develop a talent, start a business, or learn a trade, then this is the application for them. The award money is to assist in funding an alternative path, including but not limited to trade school, travel to attend a specific event or training, starting a business, training in a special skill, certification, etc. Available in February Application available for download in Naviance, and/or contact lbaca@csd99.org to get a copy.
-NEW! The Janice Schwarze Equity Scholarship: This new award will honor the programs and efforts near and dear to our former Principal, Janice Schwarze, and will recognize the efforts and focus of a current senior in the area of equity programs. This award application will launch in late February. All seniors helping drive and lead the various equity programs at North are encouraged to apply. Coming late February
